encouraging the weak
Encouragement comes in the oddest forms. I never see it coming but I am always refreshed after a good dose of encouragement. There has been so many times over the past few weeks that I have felt encouraged to continue to do what God is calling us to do out here in Reedy Fork. Thanks to each of you (too many to name) for the joy that you bring me. Thanks for strengthening me to grow in my faith and in my ministry. Thanks for all that you are and all that you are making me into.
Reading the blog that Gary Lamb wrote the other day about following our calling has really encouraged me as well. And I am happy to see that God doesn’t want us to have it all together. That would stink to have to wait until we had it all right. We would never start the journey if that was the prerequisite.
It is exciting to see God working in the midst of the weak. He uses the weak to lead the strong and this is definitely how I feel. I don’t feel capable of doing anything that He is calling me to. I am excited about that because I know that God likes to work through the weak so that He can shame the strong and the wise.
Let’s be weak for God so that He can use us as much as possible.
