thoughts in the new state of freedom
Ok, over the past 6 weeks, I have not been me. I have not been in a place where I wanted to see God. Maybe, it came from the place of busyness. Maybe, it derived from a comfortable place that I had allowed my soul to inhabit. Maybe, I simply was just lazy.
Whatever it was, I have been on a huge high recently. High on life, you could say.
I have been so happy recently that it is quite odd. I guess taking the 6 weeks of Greek at Southeastern was too much for me. Thankfully, I am done. No more Greek. Seriously, it is so freeing to see that.
Anyways, since freedom now reigns in my life, I have been spending a lot of time reading. I mean, a whole lot. I have read 3 books since Thursday. Started 4 more and am still going. I have spent time hanging out with neighbors. Yesterday, I spent time with like 5 or 6 of them. I mean, a good bit of time too. Not just, “hey, buddy, how are things.” Hour long hangouts. Great stuff.
Well, I just want to say that I am back and better than ever. Very similar to how comic books heroes continue to get revamped for a new series. Honestly, that is the vision that I feel for myself.
In closing, here are some of the books that I have recently read:
On writing - Stephen King
Wide Awake - Erwin Mcmanus
the Attributes of God - A.W. Tozer
Good stuff. More to come. I think I want to write. I have had a huge urge over the past 3 weeks to write a book. Not sure where that came from but I want to use it and actually live it out. I don’t want to have ideas in my wondrous imagination and not live them out. I want to be like God and “speak and fulfill with my hands.”
bye
