I just recently finished Andy Stanley’s new book and I found it a great read.
Here are some of my favorite quotes from it:
- “Direction, not intention, determines your destination.” (14)
- “You don’t have problems to fix; you have directions that need to change.” (17)
- “Today’s decision create tomorrow’s experiences.” (55)
- “You will never get to where you want to be if you do not know where you are to begin with.” (66)
- ”Choosing the right path begins with submission, not information.” (83)
“Independence is our problem.” (83)
“Divine direction begins with unconditional submission.” (89)
“One never accomplishes the will by breaking the law of God, violating the principles of God, or ignoring the wisdom of God.’ (109)
“Asking doesn’t mean you lack wisdom - it’s evidence of wisdom.” (134)
“Decide ahead of time to pay attention to those things that need and deserve your attention.” (146)
“We don’t drift in good directions. We discipline and prioritize ourselves there.” (150)
“Sometimes it is the destinations out of reach that create the circumstances God uses to remind that we are never out of his reach.” (159)

Laura, I really enjoy this quotes as well. It is so funny how most of us will simply live lives trying to acquire the most amount of information possible when all we really need to do is obey what we already know.
Wow. I really like some of those quotes. Esp. pg 83 and 89.
