Gasoline and Jesus

Great quotes and thoughts can provoke a thousand words.  This one sparks me once again as I rereading Ben Arment’s book, Church in the Making.

“Have you ever seen a movie where the villain thinks he’s safe from a fire he started . . . until he notices the trial of gasoline leading to his own feet?  Jesus essentially lit his followers on fire so they’d run like mad for the outlying areas.  And when they did, they carried the gospel with them.”

– Ben Arment, Church in the Making, 77.

I truly want to watch myself burn for the glory of God.
