Our youth group is going to start working through what the Gospel is over the next month. And I am determined to show them that it is not simply making a decision for Christ one time in their lives.
The decision that we made in the past does nothing if we are not determined to be disciples. That statement is truly wrecking my life at this moment. I encourage you to read it again and let it sink in.
We must seek to stand on the things that matter and live the way that Jesus did. After all, if we live the same before becoming a Christian that we do now, we are not saved. We must live our lives continually for Him and for His glory. This is something that I just want you to start thinking about today.
The main emphasis in churches across the country is placed on a decision when if you look at most “Christians”, they are the furtherest thing from looking like Christ. I honestly don’t want to have tons of decisions if no disciples are present.
The calling on my life is to see and make disciples, not to fill a room full of people who once made a decision but continue to live against that decision each and every day.
I simply want to teach people that
the decision that they made in the past does nothing if we are not determined to be disciples.
